The Gun Store – Las Vegas . . .
Fully automatic weapons were shot, yippie skippy!
Since most of the Punk Rock Bowling fun for me was happening at night I was looking for something fun to do during the day other than gambling. It didn’t take me long to remember that Las Vegas has several shooting ranges that have fully automatic weapons for rent. A quick look through the yellow pages, and a short internet search later Mr. Z, his wife Yuri, and I were at The Gun Store:

They close at 6:30 pm so get there early.

As soon as you enter you see the huge board of weapons.
This was quite a sight and I have to admit I really did feel like a kid in a candy store.

Here you can see the choice of targets and Mr and Mrs. Z in the lower left.

100 rounds of .223 for the AK-74 for about $100. Not cheap, but fun!

Me and the AK-74. Mr. Z took this great photo, it’s my favorite.

The best photo I got of Mr. Z, he’s a lefty. At least I got the muzzle flash. (video here, it’s mp4, so probably won’t stream)

Yuri gets some last minute coaching before take on the UZI.

Nobody can resist the joy that comes from shooting an automatic weapon! (video here)

Mr. Z’s nose was the only casualty of the day. You see that tiny red dot on the tip of his nose? It’s tiny cut from one of the shells that came flying out of the AK-74 while he was shooting it.
Next time I’m in Las Vegas I’m going to check out the other big gun range that has fully automatic weapons, Las Vegas Gun Range & Firearms Center. Have fun, be safe, BOOM!

The UZI was alot cheaper because it shoots 9mm, which is a much cheaper round, although it was still pricey. The UZI was also more reliable and jammed less.

UZIzzzz are way better. I don’t leave home without one. I can fit it in my kalavinka bag just in case some kid with ear plugs tries to jack my ride.

Devon you say kill kill kill (i suppose jokingly) but maybe you don’t know him as well as I do … I don’t know how comfortable I feel having craig play w/ guns! Can you say colombine, VT, etc…?
I think you should go back to “collecting” fishing stuff!
