Well not really
Early I mentioned how Pacifist 2.0 saved me, well it didn’t.  What did do is allow me to put off the inevitable, a clean install.  Lucky for me I have a Mac, a 12″ PowerBook G4 to be exact.  While I was able to get my system back on it’s feet with Pacifist, [...]

A great moment (or is it moments) in TV history
I watch Family Guy, which of course is not stunning. I also collect crap. Too much crap and too many different things that go with too many different hobbies. Ah well. I recently learned that Mezco made an action figure set out [...]

Sportfishing around Catalina Island
After weeks of anticipation September 14th finally came around and it was time for some saltwater fishing. It was CraigZ, Greg, Bill, Brandon, and me on the MarDiosa out of Pierpoint Landing in Long Beach, CA.
After loading the boat up we were off to the bait barge. After our Captian, [...]

It’s an old app that’s also an old friend
Today was the exciting iPod-a-palooza. New exciting updates of iTunes and Quicktime! New iPods! iTV! Feh! I tried to update and while iTunes was fine, Quicktime was very much an asshole. It refused to update. I gave up. Later [...]

Brand Recognition ! ! !

Everything looked AMAZING!
This evening Jerri and I headed over to Coop’s new gallery show over at Sixspace to see Brand Recognition. I’m sure you can do a Google for it and find some art snob reviews. From my perspective, it was as I predicted, RAD! His paintings are awesome in size and [...]

Why? Well read on my fearless underlings!
Tonight I MIGHT be playing cards at the Heff’s House of Horrors. I say ‘might’ because Mrs. Heff doesn’t return IM’s in a timely manner, kinda like Bill. Update: She finally responded to my IM, cards, Taboo, Scatagories is ON.
Tomorrow is BRAND [...]

Check engine light gone, for now
Saturday afternoon I had the bright idea to go and finally replace my cracked exhaust manifold with an uncracked used manifold. After some measurements to make sure it would fit I was ready for the task.

Old D16Y8 exhuast manifold on left, new-to-me D15B VTEC on right.
No worries with the [...]

Salterwater fishing from the Premier, out of Pierpoint
Wednesday Mr. Z, Greg, and I took the Premier out of Long Beach for some fishing. The Premire is what is commonly refered to as a ‘party boat.’ You buy a ticket ($50), bring your tackle and go fish. We usually hope that not too [...]

It came back, code 45
My 1998 Honda Civic has been a great car. I bought it new and will most likely have it for a few more years. It’s got about 107k miles on it now and really runs perfect, except for the code 45 check engine light that came back over the [...]

Old model means nice price
I learned today that once I camera is a year or so old, it becomes OLD TECHNOLOGY. My current camera is a 4 megapixel Minolta G400. I love it. It’s a great camera, small light easy to carry and takes great photos. It only has one short [...]
