Montreal – Chinatown . . .

Some Cheech and Chong humor
While galavanting through Chinatown in Montreal, Lee pointed out this sign:

Now of course it made me laugh, but Lee had to explain the joke since I don’t “do the weed” like others. My body is a shrine to purity.

or my companies education reimbursement program
Back in December of last year I dutifully filled out all the education reimbursement forms my company offers. I didn’t hear anything back so I called my boss and he said he hadn’t heard anything. I gave up. I figured they turned it down for some reason. [...]

A/C Repair Parts Costs . . .

Monday, June 27th, 2005

It’s not cheap
Well I shouldn’t complain too much the total in parts is right around $675. That’s not chump change, BUT the dealer quoted $900-$1500 for the repair, parts and labor. We have the tools now since my father fixed the A/C on his old Accord so it’s really not that bad. [...]

Removal
Today after a nice lunch I came home with no further plans. Thought for a second and decided to dive in to my A/C repair project. Made good time removing almost everything that needed to be removed. Took out the compressor, condenser/fan, pressure switch, two soft line, and couple hard lines. [...]

Montreal – Molson Dry Ads . . .

Friday, June 24th, 2005

Beer guns or piss guns?
Ads for Molson Dry were all over Montreal, but most notably at nearly all the Metro (subway) stations. Most of the ads were made up of multiple panels streched across long walls with gaps in between. The pic I got only partially shows what I noticed, it looks like [...]

Montreal – Berri Uqam Bus Station . . .

Thursday, June 23rd, 2005

It’s not so bad, just watch out for the needles.
On our last day in Montreal we checked out of our hotel and headed to the Berri Uqam Bus Station which was conveniently located behind our hotel. Since our flight wasn’t ’til late in the afternoon we needed someplace to put our bags. Luckily [...]

Montreal – Poutine . . .

Wednesday, June 22nd, 2005

Fries, gravy, and cheese curds = yummy
Up in Montreal (maybe in all of Canada or at least Quebec) they have Poutine which ain’t healthy but I loved it. I had heard about from a friend years ago and had it at Jerry’s Deli in Studio City. Jerry’s didn’t make it right, they just [...]

Montreal – The Race . . .

Also know as the reason we were there in the first place
Lee and I traveled to Montreal specifically to see the Canadian Grand Prix. Besides the Florida like heat and humidity it was all we could have asked for. Practice, qualifying, and the race went off without a hitch. We also learned [...]

Montreal – Those funny Euros . . .

Sunday, June 19th, 2005

Sunscreen, check, comfy shoes, check, shorts, check, double layer long wool socks check . . . WHAT?
I had to snap this pic, I don’t know where he was from but I’m guessing somewhere in Europe:

That ’s TWO layers of long socks on a day that nearly hit 100 degrees F with a TON of humidity! [...]

It’s a Metro, it’s a Bus Station, it’s a Park
Well, a park filed with drug dealers and strung out addicts. Oh and us with Lee putting band-aids on his toes. That’s when the drug dealers asked us if we “needed anything, anything?” We weren’t exactly staying in a 4 star hotel, but [...]
